Sports Medicine, Knee & Shoulder Arthroscopy
It is my goal to treat every patient with great care and understanding. I will work individually with each patient to help deliver the highest-quality treatment for their specific injury.

Education is the cornerstone of my practice. One of the most important jobs that I have is to educate my patients about their problems. I have enjoyed years of teaching and contributing to the education of our future physicians, athletic trainers and physical therapists. In order to excel at my profession, I have remained highly committed to continuing my own education.

As a sports medicine and active lifestyle physician, I understand the need to have rapid access to an injury expert. Receiving a timely, accurate evaluation is the first key step to a speedy recovery. Patients will initiate a detailed, patient-specific treatment as soon as possible. While surgery is sometimes required, the need for surgery can usually be alleviated by more conservative measures such as physical therapy, medicine and sometimes an injection. Accurate modification of the plan, based on treatment response and compliance, is another key to success. I view surgery as a last resort. However, if surgery is necessary, I strive to provide my patients with the most technologically advanced surgical treatments.

I have worked hard at studying and practicing the art of performing arthroscopic surgery of the knee, shoulder and elbow. My capabilities include treating complex shoulder instability and rotator cuff injuries with an all-arthroscopic technique, as well as a state-of-the-art approach to ACL reconstruction surgery.

I understand that each patient is unique with their own interests, expectations and personal circumstances. Combining this information with my knowledge of your injury allows me to suggest the most appropriate treatment course to meet your goals. All treatments are a partnership between the patient and me, based on mutual trust, respect and understanding.

I would like to thank my current patients for allowing me to participate in their care and pledge the same level of commitment to those patients who are new to my practice.
