Alan R. Posner, MD, FACS

Bariatric Surgery, General Surgery
A fellow trained in advanced laparoscopic surgery, I serve as the Director of Minimally Invasive Surgery at the University at Buffalo, as well as the Surgical Director of Bariatric Surgery within the Kaleida Health System.

My expertise includes surgical endoscopy (upper & colonic), gastric balloon surgery, and advanced laparoscopic surgery for adrenal disease, bariatric weight loss, disease of intestines, gallbladder disease, hernia of the groin or abdominal wall, hiatal hernia and reflux disease, splenic disease and treatment of achalasia.

I would like my patients to know that my philosophy is that the patient comes first. We evaluate the medical problem, we come up with a surgical solution, and the patient ultimately decides. Once we have a connection, I am always available for phone calls or questions.
